Taylor Park Reservoir is a very popular recreation area near Gunnison, Colorado. The area has great recreation opportunities, including fishing and boating in the lake, fishing and whitewater on the Taylor River, hiking and mountain biking in the surrounding mountains, and motorized activities (dirt bikes and ATVs). This little campground sits at the inlet at the north end of the lake and offers spectacular 360-degree views of the mountains on the west side of the Collegiate Range. It is very exposed and has no shade or privacy.

The campground has an upper loop with lake views, which tends to fill up first, and a lower loop above the inlet stream with no view of the lake. It is a short walk from any site to the lake shore or the Taylor River inlet stream. There are the typical vault toilets and hand pump for water, fire rings and tables. Every site has great views and no privacy.
