Nestled among ponderosa and lodgepole pine trees, Lakeview Campground is situated above Colorado's Taylor Park Reservoir at 9,400 feet, and many of its 65 sites feature views of the lake and surrounding Sawatch Mountains.
Of the 65 campsites, nine have electrical hookups and can accommodate RVs up to 45-feet. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. There are also vault toilets, potable water, and trash collection points around the campground. The rates are $18.00 per night, plus a $6.00 electrical fee if applicable. Reservations are required. Firewood can also be purchased on-site for $6.00.
Nearby recreational opportunities are endless as the reservoir is used for boating, swimming and fishing. There is a boat ramp located near the campground, and rentals are available at the marina. Off-road exploration and mountain biking are also popular nearby activities, as is wildlife viewing between taking in lake views.
Lakeview Campground is open from late May through late September.
