Stough Reservoir Campground sits beside Stough Reservoir, a stocked pond that lies on the Basin and Range Birding Trail. Prairie falcons, Rufous hummingbirds and wild turkeys all make appearances around the reservoir.
The campground is open seasonally, and it is available on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees. Two vault toilets as well as water spigots that are turned off at the end of the season service the campground. There is no trash collection at the campground, and a 14-day limit applies to visitors.
There are eight sites, with one being about double size. Most are clustered in the main area, and a couple are off down secluded driveways just beyond the vault toilets. Campgrounds each contain a table and a grill.
There is one site that lies immediately beside the reservoir; it will be on the right as you drive in.
The campgrounds elevation at 6,200 feet ensures cool and crisp air settling amongst the pine trees.
Driveways are large enough for mid-sized RVs, though there are no RV services or turnarounds located at the campground.
