Rush Creek Campground is located within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, just 8 miles north of the town of Weaverville, and a short drive to either Trinity Lake or the Trinity Alps Wilderness. Although just a short distance off Highway 3, Rush Creek Campground has a very remote feel to it. The campsites are nice, secluded and nestled amongst Douglas fir, oak and maple trees. The namesake Rush Creek flows through camp providing a nice backdrop to several of the sites, as well as an opportunity to fish for brook trout.

The campsites at Rush Creek are best for tents, vans or those with smaller trailers. The campground road is a little rough in areas but certainly passable in any vehicle. Campsite spurs are unpaved.

Of course no hookups are available, and there is no drinking water either. Each site is first come, first served and has a picnic table and fire ring. Some of the campsites even have a unique Klamath Oven for cooking. A vault toilet is also available within the campground.
