Tucked away in the southern Sierra along a quiet stretch of country highway between Bakersfield and Kernville lies this gem of a self-sufficient campground.

Nine non-reservable sites have been placed between the roadway and Deer Creek, providing an inviting setting for anyone seeking either overnight respite or a longer summer stay. The layout is three generous sites nestled along Deer Creek, three smaller sites adjoining the roadway (Hot Springs Road), and three within the circular access drive into the campground. There is no electricity or tap water; however, there are ample trash cans and two ADA-accessible pit toilets that are well maintained by the campground's volunteer custodians.

The sheltered creek has some inviting swimming pools for the warmer months, though the nearby draw is the privately-owned California Hot Springs Resort, located just 0.4 miles up the road.
