Boca Rest Campground is a shadeless and dusty no-frills campground located at the edge of the Boca Reservoir, a popular area for boaters and picnickers.
The campground has 23 sites, 19 of which can be reserved, though four are restricted to a first-come, first-served basis. One central building with two vault toilets serves the campground, while there are four spigots with water dispersed throughout the campground. As of 2016, the water at the campground was found unfit for drinking. A large trash can is also available near the vault toilets, and these are the only amenities offered at Boca Rest.
Boca Rest has wide gravel turnouts that are suitable for large RVs and cars with boats in tow. However, with the emphasis on RV camping, there are no barriers of any kind between camp sites. (Those looking for a campground more suitable for tent camping can try the Boca Spring Campground, located a mile away.)
Each campsite has a concrete picnic table and a firepit with a grill.
This site is popular throughout the summer, particularly during weekends. The campground closes seasonally from about mid-October until May each year. Visitors are limited to 14 days at Boca Rest Campground.
