Cave Springs is a sizable Forest Service campground located up Oak Creek Canyon, about 20 minutes from downtown Sedona. The area is quite nice and heavily forested. All the campsites are shaded by ponderosa pines. Oak Creek runs through the campground and offers a scenic place to fish, relax or play in the water during the hot summer! There is indeed a cave here as well, but it is fenced off to the public. The only downside is a bit of noise from nearby Highway 89A.

There are 84 campsites at Cave Springs. No hookups are available, but all sites do include a picnic table and fire ring with grate. Potable water, showers and vault toilets are also available in the campground. Cave Springs Campground can be quite popular, especially on summer weekends. Be sure to arrive early to snag a spot, or reserve in advance here.
