Campbell Mesa is a collection of loop trails in the ponderosa forest just east of Flagstaff. From the shady glades atop this low hill you can enjoy views of Mount Elden, Anderson Mesa, and Mormon Mountain as you walk, run, or bike along the gently rolling terrain.
The interconnected loops allow for any amount of distance on your outing, and the proximity to Flagstaff makes this an ideal getaway before or after work. This may be one of Flagstaff's better kept secrets, and the small parking lot at Campbell Mesa is rarely full despite the convenient location. You are likely to have much of the extensive trail system to yourself on any given day. Keep an eye out for wildflowers, native birds, deer, and elk among the trees.
