Montha Than Waterfall Trail is a 2.4-kilometer loop trail that climbs past two sections of Montha Than Waterfall within the dense forest area of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park.

The trail follows a cockscomb route beginning with a steep climb from Lower Montha Than Falls to Upper Montha Than Falls, that then crosses through the forest, passing a vista point overlooking Chiang Mai, before passing through dense forest.

With 150 meters of total climbing, the trail spends most of its path climbing and dropping down steps built into the forest dirt. Buzzing and bird calls fill the jungle air, while the trail crosses streams and creeks, there are several stands with interesting braided vines and roots.

The trail eventually emerges at the road downhill from the visitor center area, where hikers can just follow the road back up to the trailhead.

Flush bathrooms and showers, trash and recycling, and snacks are available at the visitor center area.

Montha Than National Park is open daily from 8 AM - 4 PM. Day use fee is 100 Baht per person (50 Baht per child), plus an additional 30 Baht fee per vehicle.
