The Bull Gap to Wrangle Gap trail is a captivating 30.8-mile out-and-back route nestled within the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest near Ashland, Oregon. This journey meanders through a scenic blend of woods and meadows, showcasing the area's rich biodiversity. Hikers can expect to traverse coniferous forests, alpine meadows, and unique soils that nurture rare plant species. The presence of wildlife, including deer, birds of prey, and potentially bears, enhances the trail's allure. This route is open for running, hiking, backpacking, and horseback riding.

This route is part of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) and features a detour to the summit of Siskiyou Peak (7,149 feet), where adventurers are rewarded with sweeping views of the Siskiyou Mountains, the Cascade Range, and, on clear days, distant landmarks such as Mount Shasta and Mount McLoughlin. The diverse landscape, ranging from gentle hills to stark mountainous terrain, provides a breathtaking backdrop to the journey.

The trail's proximity to dirt and paved roads offers flexibility for arranging shuttles, allowing for adjustments in distance to suit individual preferences.

The journey's midpoint is Wrangle Gap Campground, providing options for overnight camping. This makes the trail suitable for either an extended day hike or a brief overnight backpacking adventure.
