This hike is located in Shaupeneak Ridge Park.  There is a parking area in the southern end of the parking.  The lot is well posted that it is gated closed after sunset, so plan your time accordingly.  The White trail begin directly from the parking area on a wide dirt road. Follow the white trail for 1.6 miles where the trail ends on top of the ridge and a junction with the Red trail.

Turn left on the Red trail for .6 miles.  The trail will cross Poppletown Road just before a parking area for Louisa Pond.  At the parking area, the Red trail ends at a junction with the Blue trail.  The Blue trail circles the pond.  At the .75 mile mark, the Blue trail reaches a junctions with the other half of the Red Trail.  Turn left onto the Red trail and follow for .6 miles where the trail reaches a very good view point of the Hudson River.

The White trail starts just past this point.  Return to the parking area on the White trail.  Onceoff the ridge on the White trail, there is a short trail on the left with Purple markers.  This leads to a nice little waterfall.
