Ocean View and Canyon View Loop is a 4-mile route located in Zuma and Trancas Canyons within the Santa Monica Mountains Recreation Area. The route begins at the Zuma Ridge Trailhead and traverses east connecting both the Ocean View and Canyon View Trails.

The area features a wide variety of native plants and animals, including coastal sage scrub, deer, rabbits, coyotes, hawks, and more. And the terrain is dominated by chaparral vegetation, whose low height leaves much of it exposed to the hot sun as well as providing scenic views of Zuma Canyon, the Santa Monica Mountains, and the Pacific Ocean.

This trail is rated moderate and is suitable for running, hiking, and horseback riding (bicycles are not permitted on the trails in lower Zuma Canyon).

TRAILHEAD

The Zuma Ridge Trailhead is located at the top of Busch Drive. Trailhead amenities include a small dirt parking area, information board, trash can, and recycling bin. There is no potable water at the trailhead.
