In sharp contrast to Mazama Village Campground, Lost Creek may come across to many Crater Lake National Park visitors as primitive… but herein lies the appeal of the park’s only other campground.

Unlike Mazama Village with its 212 sites, gas station, restaurant, and general hustle and bustle, Lost Creek Campground’s 16 campsites are ideally removed from the main tourist activities of the park, which actually makes it a more coveted overnight location for those who prefer to relax in a more natural setting.  Situated just up the road from The Pinnacles and between the deep ravine of Sand Creek and the slow trickle of Lost Creek, this campground certainly is more modest.  Amenities include picnic tables, fire grills, bear lockers, potable water, and one restroom facility, but none of the showers or other ‘town-like’ amenities that are present in Mazama Village Campground.

Beautiful Lake, the camp ground is a great spot and the trail is nice, however I highly recommend staying away from their marina, the manager is completely crazy. She is rude and the place is a disaster, they had a great staff last summer but all you could hear most of the time is her yelling at her employees who she over worked and was completely rude to.

The campground is open. No reservations needed, but fills up quickly on the weekends.
