Indigo Lake Campground

Indigo Lake Campground is a hike-in only facility located at the base of Sawtooth Mountain. You must pack in and pack out all of your supplies. The views and solitude of the area make the short hike worth the trip!

From the Timpanogas Lake Campground, follow the hiking trail signs to the trailhead for Indigo Lake. The 1.9-mile trail leads you up through an old-growth forest, meadows, and along a beautiful small creek. Once you reach the lake you are rewarded with an amazing view of Sawtooth Mountain. Fishing for trout, hiking, biking, and swimming are all activities that can be done around the lake depending on the season. 

Campsites are few and primitive, but they do include fire rings and picnic tables. They are situated along the lake's edge and are large enough for multiple tents. There is no water located at the campground. Sitting at an elevation around 5,900 feet, nights can be chilly even in the summer. Mosquitoes are also very abundant during the summer months, so plan accordingly.
