The Bald Eagle District of Bald Eagle - Otter Lakes Regional Park is located on the eastern shores of Bald Eagle Lake in White Bear Township, Minnesota.The park is operated by Ramsey County and can be found on Hugo Rd off of Highway 61.
This park is often used to access Bald Eagle Lake. This is a 1,049 acre lake that is popular for fishing. The lake is stocked with walleye and muskellunge. Ice fishing is also possible in the winter. The park contains a fishing pier and a boat launch. There is a large parking lot here that can accommodate 76 cars and 50 boat trailers. There is no fee to use the parking area or boat launch.
In addition to fishing, the park has a few different hiking trails. These trails explore forest, prairie, and lakeshore. Dogs are allowed on these trails, but they must be on a leash at all times. These trails are not plowed in the winter. There is a map of these trails in the parking lot.
The Bald Eagle District Park has a large picnic shelter that is available for reservations on the Ramsey County website. The rental fee is $135 plus tax for the full day, from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. The shelter has 8 picnic tables and 2 charcoal grills. There is also a serving station with 4 electrical outlets.
There are also a few picnic tables that are separate from the shelter. There are also charcoal grills nearby. Additionally, there is a small playground for kids to play on. Bald Eagle District Park also has flush toilets with drinking fountains. A few benches with views of the lake are also available.
