Xpu Ha Beach is a scenic beach along the coastal Yucatan Peninsula that benefits from being a short distance from the more populous areas of Playa Del Carmen and Tulum.

While beaches in Mexico are public, access is not necessarily public, so beach clubs and resorts can charge for entry and use of their beach chairs and facilities, often a flat admission fee of ordering drinks or food. There are several resorts and beach clubs along this stretch of beach, while those looking to avoid the private beaches and just hang out at the water can bypass the clubs and drive down a dirt road which charges a small admission fee for parking and beach access.

The beach itself is soft white sand that meets up with emerald Caribbean waters. As this area does have a small tourist industry, you can often see kitesurfers, parasailors, jet ski riders and snorkelers out on the water.

Palm trees line the sand, creating a picturesque environment for a relaxing afternoon laying out in the sand or wading in the water.

Xpu Ha Beach can be accessed down a dirt road (it's easy to miss, but is the road immediately before the entrance to the Catalonia Royal Resort). Admission is MX$30 per person. Neighboring resorts and beach clubs also have their own entry terms and prices.
