Redfish Baron Creek Trail #101 is a 47-mile out-and-back through the scenic Sawtooth Wilderness. The trailhead is located south of Stanley, Idaho, off Highway 75. From Redfish Lake, this route proceeds west along the Redfish Creek - Baron Creek Trail #101 to Grandjean. The area features alpine lakes, pine forests, flowing creeks, and pleasant meadows.
This area is popular for hiking, trail running, backpacking, fishing, and camping. It is possible to find some solitude along this route, but be prepared for some company at the lakeside campsites. Redfish Lake is a particularly popular location due to its easy accessibility off Highway 75 and because it is the largest lake in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area.
