Morgan Bar Campground

Morgan Bar Campground is located just north of the small town of Salmon, Idaho. The area was originally a homestead site by the Morgan family. It sits upon the Salmon River offering scenic views of the water and the Beaverhead Mountains beyond. A boat ramp also provides easy river access.

There are 8 campsites available at Morgan Bar. They are fairly private and suitable for tent campers or trailers/RVs. At each site you’ll find a picnic table, shade shelter, and a fire ring. Other amenities available within the campground include drinking water and vault toilets. A large group picnic site is also available.

In addition to the obvious recreational opportunities that come with the nearby river, Morgan Bar also offers horseshoe pits, bean-bag boards, and a grass volleyball court. A short hiking trail also leads from the campground, around a wetland pond and alongside the Salmon River.

Campsites are first come, first served (no reservations possible).
