Island Park in Salmon, Idaho is a unique park. As the name implies, it is actually a small island that divides the Salmon River into two channels. The park is connected to the Town Square Park via footbridge, allowing for easy access if walking from downtown.

The footbridge also offers a great view of the whitewater park, where a single man-made wave attracts kayakers and surfers looking to have fun in the rapids.

Island Park itself is a long, narrow piece of land. It consists mainly of a large, open grassy area. A nice gravel pathway leads around the perimeter of the island, making for an enjoyable and easy walk. Dogs are allowed off leash throughout the park.

There are also restrooms, picnic areas, a skate park, and boat ramps for river access at Island Park.
