Birch Creek Campground is a large camping area located on BLM land in southeastern Idaho. The picturesque location along Birch Creek is ideal for fishermen, with an abundance of brook and rainbow trout here, as well as some brown trout. The beautiful Lemhi Mountains provide a stunning backdrop. This is also an important historical area as the Nez Perce National Historic Trail runs through here, with interpretive panels that tell of the history of the area.

Camping at Birch Creek is free (donations are accepted). The campground recently underwent a flood that washed out some roads, so use caution when driving around.

There are about 25 campsites here, each with a picnic table and fire ring. There is also much additional open space where you can camp without amenities. Vault toilets can also be found within the campground.

Additionally, there are 4 group sites that can be reserved in advance for a fee of $35.
