Ute Valley Park Loop is a moderately challenging hike located within Ute Valley Park in Colorado Springs. This hike explores the central Ute Valley Park area. This loop is 3.7 miles long and gains 417 feet of elevation.

This hike starts from Ute Valley Trailhead off of Vindicator Dr. There are portable toilets available here. Begin hiking southeast on Ute Valley Trail. You will encounter 2 junctions almost immediately. Go right at the first and left at the second junction. The trail is mostly flat here and travels through an open field. You will have periodic views of many Front Range peaks. After 0.4 miles, the trail begins to head downhill.  Another 0.2 miles will bring you to a junction. Go right here to stay on Ute Valley Park Trail. You will now be walking amongst trees and shrubs. You will reach another junction in 0.4 miles. Stay left here. Over the next 0.3 miles, you will pass 3 junctions. Go right at the first 2 and left at the last one. 

Here, the trail begins to flatten out again. After 0.2 miles, you will pass 2 junctions and go left at both. Continue hiking on flat terrain for 0.2 miles before the trail begins to go uphill. This lasts for 0.4 miles. Here, the trail flattens out as you pass 2 junctions. Stay left at both junctions. After 0.5 miles, you will come to another junction and go straight to stay on Ute Valley Park Trail. The trail begins to go uphill again here. 0.3 miles later, you will turn right at a junction. Continue on Ute Valley Trail for 0.7 miles to reach the trailhead.

Ute Valley Park is open for hiking year round. There are no associated fees to hike here. Dogs are allowed on this trail, but they must be on a leash at all times.
