At just about 2.5 kilometers long, Sidney’s Waterfront Walkway offers a mostly flat trip along the oceanfront. The full stretch of the walkway is scenic, thanks to views to Sidney Island, the San Juan Islands and Mount Baker. You will also find an abundance of benches and picnic tables, gardens, an amphitheater, the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea, and multiple beaches.

Starting from the north end of the walkway, you will travel past the Port Sidney Marina, Beacon Park, the wharf, Diver's Beach, the fishing pier and Eastview Park. From the piers and down on the beaches you’ll be able to spot an assortment of starfish and other crustaceans.

If you are interested in a longer-distance trek, continue past the Sidney/Anacortes Ferry Terminal, Tulista Park and on to the Lochside Drive section of the walkway where you will find upper- and lower-path extensions that also offer panoramic views and plenty of benches and picnic areas plus a larger park for the families.
