Hicks Lake Campground

Tucked under a second-growth forest of Douglas fir and western hemlocks and on the northern shore of Hicks Lake, Hicks Lake Campground is Sasquatch Provincial Park's largest campground and arguably boasts the best views. Unfortunately none of the 72 campsites or the campground's large group site feature direct views, but once on the lakeshore the Cheam Range lead by Cheam Peak (2,104 m) dominates the southern view.

The campground itself provides vault toilets, potable water and boat ramp access onto the lake. A 4-kilometer nature trail circumnavigates Hicks Lake, while a shorter, 500-meter interpretive trail makes a loop around Beaver Pond. Departing from the entry gate to Bench Campground, hikers will also enjoy the roughly 6-kilometer hike to Moss Lake. Green Point Day Use Area, while on the cooler Harrison Lake, definitely has the largest beach for summer swimming, despite the fact that Hicks and Deer Lake are typically significantly warmer.

For anglers, there's a 10-horsepower restriction for boats, and Hicks Lake is well stocked with rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and brook char.
