Located 45 minutes north of Harrison Hot Springs along Harrison East Forest Service Road, Cogburn Beach Recreation Site is the northernmost established campground on British Columbia's impressive Harrison Lake.
Scattered under the shade of western redcedars and Douglas firs on the lake's eastern shore, the campground is made up of roughly 25 walk-in sites that are all well dispersed, providing ideal solitude. Vault toilets and picnic tables are provided, but little else, so be sure to pack all your provisions including ample potable water. Then, as the sun sets, be sure to pick up your favorite camping chair and make your way to the lake's pebbly shore to take in the stunning view.
While en route, don't miss Slollicum Creek Falls and Bear Creek Falls, two unmarked but extremely impressive waterfalls descending down the eastern mountain flanks toward Harrison Lake.
Note: Cogburn Recreation Site Campground is typically open from the beginning of April through the end of December. Call Recreation Sites and Trails BC at 604.701.8657 for date specifics. Camping fees can be paid in cash only.
