ROUTE DESCRIPTION
Begin your adventure at the Three Points Trailhead, where you'll embark on the Santa Clara Divide Road Trail. This initial section offers a steady climb, with the trail winding through dense forests and open meadows, showcasing the diverse vegetation of the San Gabriel Mountains.
As you connect with Pacifico Mountain Road, the terrain becomes more rugged, leading you toward the base of Pacifico Mountain. The summit attempt involves a rewarding out-and-back hike, where you'll ascend to one of the area's most notable peaks. At the summit, take in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, a perfect spot for a well-deserved break.
Continuing on the loop, join the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) as it meanders through varied landscapes, offering stunning vistas and a serene wilderness experience. The PCT's well-marked path guides you back towards your starting point at Three Points, completing the loop.
CAMPING
Pacifico Mountain Campground: A primitive campground located near the summit of Pacifico Mountain, accessible by foot. It provides a secluded spot for overnight stays amidst the beauty of the high mountains.
Dispersed Camping: Available along the PCT and in designated areas of the Angeles National Forest. Always follow Leave No Trace principles and set up camp at least 200 feet away from trails and water sources.
TRAILHEAD AMENITIES
Three Points Trailhead: Parking area, bathrooms, picnic table and trash can.
Mill Creek Summit Picnic Area: Located near the start of the route, offering picnic tables and bathrooms. Ideal for pre or post-hike rest.
PERMITS AND REGULATIONS

A California Campfire Permit is required for those planning to use a stove or have a campfire. These free permits can be obtained online or at local Forest Service offices.
