Description
Starting from South Fork Campground and head east on the Santa Ana River Trail (2E03). This portion of the route meanders through shaded forest sections and open ridgelines, offering stunning views of the surrounding San Bernardino Mountains. As you approach Constance Peak, you'll transition onto dirt roads that lead to the base of the peak.
Constance Peak, part of the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter's Hundred Peaks List, is an optional off-trail adventure. Those feeling ambitious can tackle a short scramble to the summit, where they'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges and valleys.
Continue along the dirt roads surrounding the peak and eventually reconnect back with the Santa Ana River Trail where you can retrace your steps back toward South Fork Campground.
