DESCRIPTION
Starting from the Johnston Ridge Trailhead, follow the Johnston Ridge Trail south toward Sespe Hot Springs. About 8.5 miles in, take a short side trail to reach the hot springs for a relaxing soak. This spot also makes an excellent location to set up camp for the night.
Continue south, leaving the hot springs, and proceed to a junction where you’ll head west on the Sespe River Trail (20W13). Follow the trail westward, passing several backcountry campsites and Willet Hot Springs, offering another opportunity to soak and rest.
At the next junction, turn north onto the Middle Sespe Trail and continue to the next trail junction. At the junction, head east turning onto the Cedar Creek Trail, which will lead you to Forest Road 7N03B and back to the Johnston Ridge Trailhead, completing the loop.
