Mayflower County Park Campground fits a lot of camp sites into a relatively compact and generally quiet area along the banks of the Colorado River.
With 152 RV sites and 27 car camping sites, the camping infrastructure tends to take up most of the park land. However the park's rural location ensures that it usually doesn't feel too crowded.
RV sites are set in grass rows beneath the cover of some large trees. There is next to no space between neighboring sites. Water and power hook ups are not available at the campground, and use of generators is restrictred. The car camping sites are separate and located much nearer to the water, with a line of sites site atop the slope direclty overlooking the river. These sites also tend not to have much space between neighbors in the event that the campground is crowded.
The park contains amenities like a boat ramp, horseshoe pits, lawn bowling, and a lot of covered picnic benches.
Mayflower County Park Campground is a popular snowbird destination during the winter months, making those months some of the most crowded times for a stay here. Ice is available for sale at the entrance station during park open hours.
Overall, the campground is great for those looking for a quiet spot with easy views and good boating access to the river.
There is an RV dump station available here.
