Manresa Uplands State Beach is a relatively hidden stretch of beach set between the much more busy areas of Manresa State Beach and Sunset State Beach.

The stretch of beach along Manresa Uplands is sandy and tends to be used by the few residents and guests in a small housing tract above the coast and those camping at Manresa Uplands State Park Campground.

Sharing an entrance with the campground, the day use parking lot is a small roundabout perched on the bluffs overlooking the ocean. There are picnic benches located across the bluffs, and normally a wooden stairway down to the beach, which descends to the shore below. As of 2022, the nearest staircase is damaged and closed. Visitors instead can walk the gravel trails leading through the campground to another beach access point which lies about .5 miles from the parking area.

The beach is a long and wide sandy shore, with no amenities on the beach portion and instead the bathroom facilities set near the parking area on the bluffs above. A stationed attendant works the entry booth during the summer months, visitors are asked to self pay during the remainder of the year.

Water is available inside the campground area which is a short walk from the day use parking area.

A day use fee is required for entry. The purchase of a California State Park Day Use pass will grant entry at all state parks until the end of the day.
