Lake Cahuilla Park Campground contains sites geared toward tent, RV, equestrian and group campers within the Coachella Valley's spacious Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park.
Set around the 135 acre lake, the campgrounds are divided by camping type, with the park features set right between the two. Tent and RV sites are located along the southern end of the park. The RV section is located along a paved road, containing hook ups and several water-only sites. A couple small bathrooms serve the RV and tent camping area, and an RV dump station is offered within the campground. Tent and car sites are located on a hardpacked dirt area adjacent to the RV section, and are within proximity to the noisier RV area. However both of these areas are located beside the lake for quick and easy access to the lake. Continuing past the campground will lead to flat banks where cars can back up to the water for fishing.
The equestrian and group camps are located on the northern end of Lake Cahuilla. Located in the shadow of the Santa Rosa Mountains, this section has a much wilder feel to it, not to mention is far from the noisier and more crowded RV camping area. Spacious dirt allows for tents to be set up, and trails head from the group camp area straight into the adjacent mountainous terrain.
Campgrounds contain flush toilets and coin op showers.
