The Hollywood Reservoir to Wisdom Tree Loop is an 8.5-mile hike in Hollywood, California. The route begins at the Weidlake Drive / Hollywood Reservoir Trailhead, follows the east side of the Hollywood Reservoir and then ascends into Griffith Park. The terrain is a mix of singletrack trail, wide dirt road, and some brief sections of pavement. It is a moderately rated hike that takes you up chaparral covered hillsides and across rocky ridgelines, with panoramic views featuring the Los Angeles Basin to the south and west and the Verdugo and San Gabriel mountain ranges to the north and east.

This area is accessible all year long and is popular with locals and tourists alike. It is especially popular with tourists from out of town who appreciate the views and the opportunities to take photos of the Hollywood Sign.

WISDOM TREE

Located on the west side of Griffith Park, the Wisdom Tree is a special tree that can be seen for miles. After a devastating fire in 2007, it is the only surviving tree on Burbank Peak and has become a popular hiking destination.
