Cascade Creek Campground, located at an elevation of 6020', is the westernmost of the Forest Service campgrounds once visitors have travelled past the Pincecrest area on the Highway 108.
Made up of 14 basic camp sites, the campground is set back off of the highway in a patch of forest that sees little traffic. For this reason, the campground tends to stay pretty quiet. A gravel road generally passable by all vehicle types heads into the campground, where sites sit amongst the trees with a fair amount of privacy. The downside of the campground within this landscape is that there is a lot of uneven land, and those looking to pitch a tent should stick with the middle section of campgrounds as it offers the most level tent areas.
All sites have a simple picnic bench and fire pit. There is no water here, and nearly nonexistent cel service, with only a single vault toilet serving the campground.
Cascade Creek lies down a slope from the camp sites and is pretty easy to walk to. The creek flows year round, though slows to a pretty small flow during the summer months.
Campers can self pay at the entrance sign. Due to the curved roads, it's not a great spot for those with trailers or RVs.
The campground is open seasonally, depending upon winter conditions in the area. Generally it will remain open from April-October annually.
