The Treasure loop trail can be accessed from several different trailheads.  This adventure starts from the trailhead on First Water road near the turn off from Apache Trail.  From the trailhead, cross the road and follow the Crosscut Trail, which eventually becomes the Jacobs Crosscut Trail.  Follow this for about one mile to the junction with the Teasure Loop Trail.

Turn left on the Treasure Loop trail and follow up a steep hell toward the rock feature known as the Praying Hands.  As the trail approaches the Praying Hands, it makes a sharp right turn for a short distance.  At the 2 mile mark, the trail begins to descend.  The trail near the top is a much steeper descent than if the route was completed counterclockwise.  At about the 2.7 mile mark, the trail intersects with the Jacobs Crosscut Trail.  Continue straight and in a short distance, the trail enters Lost Dutchman State Park.

Continue another .25 miles to a parking area.  Turn right and follow the trail until it reaches a gate to exit the state park.  Note, near this gate is flushable toilets open to the public.  Continue out of the park for about .4 miles where the trail intersects with the Crosscut Trail again.  Turn left and follow back to the trailhead.

This trail has great view of Cholla and the Flatiron.  In the mornings the sun rises from behind The Flatiron and in the evening lights up the face of The Flatiron.  Both unique views.
