The Goldlink Trail is located in Tonto National Forest and designated as Trail 303.  The trail traverses the foothills above Apache Junction from the Meridian Trailhead to the Idaho Road Trailhead.  Nice views of Saguaro all along this route.

From the Meridian Road trailhead, pass through the cattle gate.  Follow the trail for a short distance until a trail split with the Bulldog  Saddle Trail going straight and the Goldlink trail turning right. The first mile has little gain however, after that the trail climbs for a little more than .5 milesThe trail reaches a point with a trail split.  The trail straight continues uphill and east and the trail on the right will descend.  Both trails will join together again after one mile if taking the upper trail.  The lower trail is shorter.

Another two miles down the trail there is several herd paths and joining trail.  The route is well marked but there is several option.  The last .5 miles to the Idaho Road trailhead is flat.  Return the way you came with the option to choose the trail not taken earlier at the trail split.

While overlooking the Apache Trails community most of the way, it is still quiet and enjoyable with plenty of views.
