Bullhead City Community Park Beach is a spacious and family friendly park environment offering river access for swimmers, waders and boaters in the shadow of Laughlin's popular casino strip.
Located on the Arizona side of the Colorado River, Bullhead City Community Park may be the largest and most inviting public option for accessing the river or setting up for a picnic just above the water. The park contains a pebbly shore where visitors can walk into the water or wade into its protected swimming area. There are also boat ramps, a large covered picnic pavilion, fenced in dog park, spacious lawn area, playground, and fish cleaning station.
Spread out across 376 acres, the park often gets very busy during peak summer months, but may be all but empty duirng the off season. Boats and jet skis fly up and down river here, though a roped off swim section near the shore keeps swimmers safe.
Shaded ramadas are also available for rent.
In addition to the outdoor features, the Colorado River Historical Society also operates a museum in the park.
Parking fees are required from Mid-May through September and during holiday weekends, when fees are $20 per vehicle for non-Bullhead City residents. There are no parking fees the remainder of the year.
