The Icicle River Trails are one of three trail networks maintained by the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club. These private trails are always open to the public and are in the heart of a town with a rich history. If you haven't visited Leavenworth, Washington, you'll enjoy this quaint mountain town with a strong Bavarian theme that is nestled on the outer reaches of the Cascades. You can't miss the festival hall where Oktoberfest is held, the ornate shingles on the roof of the Bavarian Starbucks, not to mention the gentle mountain peaks that provide an appropriate backdrop.
Nordic Passes are $16 for adults for the day, and a pass grants access to all of Leavenworth Ski Club's courses, including the Icicle River Trail, Ski Hill, and Golf Course. Located less than 5 miles from the other two courses, some skiers choose to spend an entire day at the Icicle River Trails. With it's flat contours, optional hills, amazing mountain vistas, and easy parking access, the Icicle River Trails are a popular destination for the right reasons.
To make the most out of your day, travel in the morning and buy your Nordic Pass early in the day. Once you finish with the first loop at Icicle River Trails you can explore Golf Course or Ski Hill trails, or reward yourself in one of Leavenworth's many local restaurants or breweries.
