The drive-in Shipwreck Creek Campground at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park has a total of 46 sites. All the sites have electric hookups with 50-amp service (the electric power pedestals also have 20-amp and 30-amp outlets).  Most of the sites have shade or partial shade and are generally spread apart to offer some privacy. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Firewood is available for sale at the park office. There are three wheelchair accessible sites; two of the sites have elevated tent pads with a ramp and at site 314 the entire site consists of packed, crushed gravel.  Most of the sites are back-in, but there are four pull-thru sites. Most of the parking pads are at least 70 feet long so they can accommodate large RVs. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the campground, except in the restroom.

This campground is a great spot for bicyclists. There is a paved connector trail that leads to the Gitchi-Gami State trail. There is also access to the Split Rock Wilds mountain biking trails.

The campground has a bathroom and shower building as well as four vault toilets. The campground is open from early May until mid-October. The Shipwreck Creek Campground opened in 2022 and was clearly built to handle large RVs, but oddly there is no fresh water fill station or dump station at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park. Drinking water to fill RV tanks can be obtained at the nearby Gooseberry Falls State Park.  There is also a dump station at Gooseberry; there is also a dump station in Two Harbors at a car wash.

In addition to the camping fees, there is a fee to enter the park; a day use or annual permit can be purchased at the park office.  All the sites can be reserved online or by phone.
