Tumwater Campground offers outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to capitalize on the beauty of the area as well as a long list of outdoor activities throughout the year. This campground is open from May through October and is located in Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest along Highway 2 near the town of Leavenworth.
Tumwater Campground is equipped with accessible flush toilets, drinking water, dumpsters, a horseshoe pit, and a basketball court. You will find campfire rings and picnic tables at each of the tent sites, and all sites are first-come, first-served with the exception of the group site. There are 84 tent sites, 84 RV sites, two double sites, and one group site that can accommodate up to 70 people and 40 vehicles. The group site includes a covered shelter, picnic area, fireplace, and a wood stove for your use. Accommodation alone makes this campground a fantastic pick for groups and large gatherings.
In addition to the facilities that Tumwater Campground offers, Wenatchee Ranger District is the perfect place to satisfy your outdoor recreational activities throughout the year. Take advantage of Chiwaukum Creek and the Wenatchee River to fish for trout and salmon along its banks.
