The drive-in Lake Wissota State Park Family Campground is located near Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The campground has a total of 116 sites. There are 58 sites that have electric hookups with 50-amp service. The campground is heavily wooded and the sites have decent separation to offer some privacy.
Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Firewood is available for sale at the park office. There are five pull-though sites at the campground and one of these is a handicap accessible campsite. The rest of the sites are back-in sites. The campground host is located at campsite number 1. Dogs that are on a leash are allowed in the campground. The leash can be no longer than 8 feet.
The Lake Wissota State Park Family Campground has two main loops. Each loop has a shower building with flush toilets. There are also two vault toilets and several fresh water spigots. A large grassy area with playground equipment is located between the two loops. There is a dump station located near the park entrance.
The campground is open year-round, but be aware that the campground roads are not plowed during the winter and there is no access to drinking water or flush toilets.
In addition to the camping fees, there is a fee to enter the park; a day use or annual permit can be purchased at the park office. All the sites can be reserved online or by phone. Lake Wissota State Park is a popular park, so camping spots get reserved quickly.
The Lake Trail that can be easily accessed from the campground. This trail leads to a beach and a fishing dock.
