    Tara Brown

    Portland, Oregon

Originally, Tara is from Homer, Alaska, a small town nestled on the shore of a glistening bay with glaciers and mountains surrounding the shoreline and active volcanoes looming in the distance. Through growing up in the Alaskan wilderness, Tara found a passion for all things wild and outdoors.

After attending the University of California, Davis and graduating with a BA in Political Science, Tara pursued environmental policy as a Legislative Assistant in the California Legislature. Since her time in California, Tara relocated to Portland, Oregon and continues to protect public lands with Oregon Wild, while pursuing her Master’s degree in Business Administration at Portland State University.

Tara is excited to use her passion for wildlife conservation and advocacy to protect Oregon’s stunning and endangered wildlands, specifically Crater Lake National Park. When she is not out working on protecting Crater Lake and public lands, she enjoys hiking, yoga, kayaking, fishing, a good beer, and watching hockey.

    About Us

We believe good things come from people spending time outside. It’s about more than standing on the mountain top. It’s about nourishment and learning. It’s about protecting what sustains us. It’s about building relationships with the outdoors and each other.
