I grew up in the Southern Oregon forest. Hiking, bouldering and foraging in the forest was just called "playing outside". Now I'm a mom, raising suburban boys and doing my best to create opportunities for them to develop an awareness of their connection and responsibility to nature. It's not just ours to enjoy, it's our responsibility to deeply care for it.
