I'm an engineer by training, but a ski bum at heart. In 2010, I escaped the Midwest for grad school in Seattle. There, I quickly discovered that mountain sports filled a space in my soul that I never realized was empty. So instead of becoming a PhD, I took my MS and embraced a seasonal, ski-oriented lifestyle. I backcountry ski, alpine ski, mountain bike, trail run, road bike. Then I do yoga to make amends with my body for doing all the foregoing without stretching. I've joyously settled into the Pacific Northwest, my adopted homeland. This summer I'm working at a bike shop and adventuring out of Hood River, Oregon.
