I am relatively new to the outdoor experience; I started hiking & kayaking in the past two years and am currently doing one or both nearly every weekend in preparation for a trip to Grand Teton/Yellowstone in the fall. My current goal is to be comfortable with 10-mile hikes & 10-mile paddles (maybe my next goal will be both in one day). I hope my contributions here will inspire others - especially newbies - to get outdoors and see the world from an amazing new perspective.
