I have recently transplanted my family from Chicago to Eugene so that I can raise my kids with a love of wild places. Oregon has quickly become home, making it hard to remember my life before living here. I am loving the ability to drop everything and go for a hike or trail run in different places each week without the need to drive for hours and plan extended trips. Being able to share the outdoors with my family, including the four legged variety, used to be reserved for vacations, now it is our everyday.
