The Taggart Lake Trailhead in Grand Teton National Park is very popular for the hikes to Taggart and Bradley Lakes. Most people take the Bradley Lake Trail up to Taggart Lake, but the Beaver Creek Trail is an alternate route that is just a half-mile longer, less traveled, and just as scenic.

From the trailhead it is just a few hundred yards to the junction of the Bradley Lake and Beaver Creek trails. Stay left to follow Beaver Creek, past wide meadows, where the year-round creek makes for great moose habitat. After a mile the trail starts climbing up to the Taggart Lake bench, offering great views back down the valley and eventually a glimpse of the Tetons ahead. Once at the lake, the trail follows the shore for about a quarter mile to the junction with the Bradley Lake Trail back down to the trailhead. Following the shore trail for another quarter mile side trip offers a few more nice lake views before the climb to Bradley Lake starts.
