Mirror Lake State Park is a 2,179-acre park located on Mirror Lake, which is a 137-acre reservoir that features sandstone walls up that rise up to 50 feet above the lake. The park is located a few miles southwest of the popular Wisconsin Dells. Mirror Lake State Park provides the opportunity for a wide variety of outdoor activities from paddling to hiking to biking to winter recreation.
Mirror Lake is wake free, which makes it ideal for canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. Rentals at the park’s boat launch are available for pontoon boats, row boats, stand-up paddleboards, canoes and kayaks. There is also a 200-foot swimming beach on the lake.
The park has over 19 miles of hiking trails including a one half mile paved trail that is ADA accessible. In the winter the majority of these trails are groomed for cross-country skiing. Snowshoeing is allowed on trails that are not groomed for skiing. There are also about 9 miles of trails that allow off-road biking.
Mirror Lake State Park has three different campgrounds with a total of 151 sites, 47 of which have electricity. There are seven group tent campsites that can accommodate up to 20 people. The campgrounds in the park are mostly wooded with oak and pine trees. The park also has an ADA accessible cabin and a rental cottage that was designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
