Dougan Creek Campground offers mid-summer weekend warriors who come for one of the region's best swimming holes a great opportunity to layover for a multi-day trip.

Located adjacent to Dougan Falls, this little campground has few amenities, but it is close to the falls. Not only is Dougan Falls a legendary swimming and sun bathing location, terrific pools may be found throughout the length of the river, particularly those across from the fish hatchery between mileposts 15 and 16.

The campground is rather unique; it is managed by the Department of Natural Resources and has a strict curfew, which means that vehicle access is from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. in the summer and daylight hours only during the winter. Call 360.837.3525 for details. Staying at the campground is free when you display a Washington State Discovery Pass.

Comments

Michael, the campground could easily accommodate trailers under 20 ft., but the campground is quite small. I'd call the WA Department of Natural Resources at (360) 902-1000 to confirm.
Are travel trailers allowed to stay at this campground?
