Berry Picking in New Hampshire

The season for strawberry picking typically starts in mid-June and ends around mid-July, depending on weather. When the strawberry season ends, head over the Bartlett’s Blueberry Farm in Newport for a new berry-picking experience. Blueberries are usually ready to be picked around mid-July, and the season runs into August. Berry fields are often open, sunny spaces with little shade, so you’ll want to be sure you wear sunscreen and bring some water to keep hydrated on hot days. If you’re unable to spend some time in the field, keep an eye out at co-ops and farmers’ markets for fresh, locally grown berries throughout the season.
