Glacier View on the north shore is one of the three campgrounds where reservations are available online at Redfish Lake: Outlet Campground and Point Campground are the two others. This is the largest campground near Redfish Lake, and it offers 65 standard nonelectric sites in three separate loops. The first of the three loops, sites 1-26, is located along Redfish Lake Creek and has the most secluded spots in the campground. The second loop, sites 27-43, sits on a small hill allowing for great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The third loop, sites 44-65, has sites that are tucked beneath ponderosa and lodgepole pines that offer shade and some additional privacy.

Glacier View is across the road from the North Shore Picnic and Day Use Area. There are three large group areas that can be reserved, a beautiful beach, and access to the diving platforms on the lake.

There are a few double sites within the campground that can be reserved for $32 per night. Each campsite has a picnic table, fire pit, and grill. Firewood is available from the camp host for $6 a bundle. The Central Services dump station is about a mile away for those in need. Remember that you are in bear country, and it's important to put all your food, cooking utensils, and garbage away each night.

Redfish Lake is one of Idaho's top summer destinations, and it's easy to see why. The 5-mile by 1-mile lake offers plenty of swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, and camping opportunities, while the surrounding Sawthooth Mountains are ideal for hiking, backpacking, and horseback riding.

Be sure to check out the local trails, and there's even a ferry shuttle should you want a lift to the hiking trails at the south end of the lake. Should you need any additional provisions, stop by the General Store near the lodge for ice, propane, snacks and even ice cream treats.

Reservations are available from mid-May through mid-September. Walk-in reservations are available through the end of September.
