Summit - Ghost Lake Trail

From the parking area in Jenny Jump state forest, follow the red trail up a forest road.  Shortly, the trail will split with the Swamp trail on the left and the Summit trail on the right.  Both lead to the same point. Follow the Swamp trail until it ends back on the Summit trail after .5 miles.  Turn left and continue on the Summit trail for 1 mile where it will end on the Ghost Lake trail.

Turn right on the Ghost Lake trail and continue for 1.5 miles where the trail will cross a levy for Ghost Lake.  The lake is very scenic, especially in fall.  Continue past the lake to the trailhead parking on Shades of Death road.

As an out and back, return the way you came in however, when reaching the junction with the Swamp trail and Summit trail, continue striaght on the Summit trail.  This section will have several view point with vistas of the forest and farmland below.
